System Occurrences Synchronization Options

When working with importing systems and system components, there are features available known as Synchronization Options related to the Import System Component and connected system and Components to dRofus workflows.

These options can be found using the Systems/Occurrences section of the Revit dRofus ribbon via a drop-down choice at the bottom called Options.

  1. Move occurrence and systems to this model is explained in detail via Split model and Update Model Name on Occurrences

  2. Include physical connectors supports, including all the detailed pieces that make up a system, for example, elbows, fittings, cables, etc.

  3. Use system types leverages the use of a system type to define the top level of a system instead of using the default Revit system as the top level of a system.

  4. Delete obsolete systems is used to remove systems in dRofus that were once define and linked to system in Revit that has since been removed in Revit. This is used to keep the dRofus database in sync with a model.

  6. There can be several changes when syncing systems and system components, so an additional log folder is mapped to capture each and every time a sync is completed.

  7. Categories shows a list of Revit categories that will be included when syncing occurrences. This can be helpful to limit the occurrences that need to be import or synced to specific Revit categories.

  8. Group occurrences by category is used to group occurrences by specific Revit categories. This can be helpful to group several occurrences into a single occurrence with the quantity of instances based on the shared Revit categories defined.
